Quiet Sunday

susandennisWhat a lovely day this has been. Nothing thrilling, nothing extra ordinary, just a nice, lovely day. I do love Sundays.
I mainly did a lot of little things. CBS Sunday Morning was better than usual this morning. I kept having to stop and log onto the library site to place a book or CD on hold or Netflix to add to my queue. I do love that show.
Then I spent some quality time with my finances. Mint.Com has added a lot of really serious functionality. Very nice. Now, if they would only allow the import of old transactions.... But, I gathered info and did some analysis and some planning. Overall, the recent hit to my total holdings is just a bit over 20%. It is not worse because my financial adviser is brilliant. He had me buy some real estate stuff called REITs a few years ago and they continue to do well and he made lots of my investments in other countries. So far not nearly as bad as it could be.
Since my kids will not be taking care of my in my hold age, my investments have to. I do not regret never having had any children and I sure do not regret finding my financial adviser!! I have made some pretty stupid decision in my life but at least I got these two right. I've been very lucky.
The Seahawks fans left the losing game with about as much noise as they do when they win. It had me confused for a minute cause I had not heard the fireworks they shoot off when they win. But, I checked and sure enough they really did lose. Maybe the fans have decided just to forget the score and party like every game is a win.
Baseball tonight - hopefully, tonight's game will be over before tomorrow.
