From that small exclusive club of people who have never seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I think I probably would have been a little more delighted if I had seen it when it first came out before it became the talk of the town. But, I liked it nonetheless.

Julie and I saw it on VHS last week and enjoyed it, too.

On a related topic, I may have to get set up to watch DVDs. The local rental stores are going to them more than tapes and given your pretty good experience with renting by mail, it may be time to upgrade. [I started to buy a DVD player sometime last year and then discovered that I couldn't use it with my fairly new but still analog TV.]

Funny at times, but I thought it was B- material. Less conflict between the two leads than any romantic comedy ever, and Corbett's character never changed at all. Started congenial, middled congenial, ended congenial.

Points of innovation: Greek subculture and very average-looking female lead who would never have been cast if she weren't the writer. But this movie was done much better as Moonstruck fifteen years ago.

I think it's in the next batch that I am to receive from Netflix - I'll let you know.
