I don't want to get sappy but I just want to say thank you. My LJ friends have opened up my world. In the past year I've seen movies I would have never found, read books I might not have stumbled across and gotten music onto CD's that I didn't even know was out there. I've gotten recipies and meal ideas, insight into llamas, laughs and giggles and had my opinion changed. And, probably most important of all, had my good experiences blossom by sharing them with my LJ friends.

One of the things you get when you live with someone is a sounding board - a doubling of your exposure to the world - and, if you are lucky, a mirror to look at yourself in. For me, the advantages of these things don't quite outscore the disadvantages of having someone around all the time, so I live without.

But, you guys fill the bill pretty much totally and I don't have to give up clicker control or care what you want for dinner.

You give as good as you get!! There is lots to be said for living alone. I was single a long time between marriages. I never thought I would get married again, but I did, and it has taken me 25 years this year to get used to it again.

I can't say I've been a frequent poster in your LJ, or even a familiar one, but I have enjoyed peeking in here every day, and especially enjoy the kitty pics!

I have to tell you, when I first saw that word "fuckchop" I thought I'd wake up the whole house with my snorts and guffaws. What a great word!

Now what and how is fuckchop used. I couldn't find in quickly in Drood's journal? But it's such a great word I must have it's usage.

You know, I can't remember the details of his original use. I know he used it to describe some guy at work. I, however, use it fairly specfically to describe someone who is in a position of power (i.e. can hurt you or your career) and uses that power for evil. I distinguish between fuckchop and asshole. To me an asshole is just a jerk who is stupid. Now, you can have an asshole who is in a position of power but they aren't smart enough to use that power for much of anything.

Our vice president of sales is a fuckchop. He'll cut you off at the knees given half a chance. He has the ear of the CEO and I'm sure does his fair share of tattling plus he is unreasonable and ungrateful. He is a fuckchop.

Our head marketing guy is an asshole. He's just stupid. He has the ear of the CEO but is so consumed with 'marketing' himself he wouldn't taken two seconds out to sabatoge someone else if it meant taking focus away from himself. He is an asshole.

And don't even get me started on the Twinkies. (Ok, ok... might as well do the job completely. A Twinkie is a person of the femine persuasion who uses that feminity as an excuse for everything. "I don't know nuthin' about rebootin' a computer!" Eyelashes batting, etc.

And, now you have it. If you can ignore the fuckchops, assholes and twinkies, I do do work with some nice, kind, smart and fun people. (I just don't happen to be one of them!)

luv it luv it luv it. Fuckchop will be come part of my regular vocabulary from now on. I do know what assholes are, have met quite a few in my days at IBM and I did discern what twinkies were from your posts. Twinkies to a gay man have a different connotation however. Any cute guy under a certain age(25 in my books) is a twinkie. But when you think about it my twinkies and your twinkies aren't too dissimilar are they?
Here's one for you courtesy of our friend Chick. If you don't like something and someone asks for your opinion, you just say "not so much". As in what was the play like? Answer - Not so much. It can be used in many situations.

Oh Twinkies is a direct steal from you guys. Only your Twinkies are generally pretty, aren't they? These Twinkies are just brainless.

So, gay Twinkies? Not so much... ha! (Of course, you realize that I will spend the day looking for stuff that can be at least described as not so much!)
