My good eats
Mar. 6th, 2003 05:51 pmOk, most of you on my friends list are into diets or eating healthy. This entry is not for you. Just move along, please.
For the rest of you... yummmy - Beef Strog. I just perfected the recipe. You need:
1 1/2 lb bag of wide noodles - I like those twisty kind
1/2 to 1 lb of sliced mushrooms
onion but not so much - maybe one thick slice quartered
about 12 oz of sour cream
one package of Hormel Beef Tips and Gravy
Cook the noodles while you gently saute the mush and onions in butter. Nuke the beef about 2 mins or so on high. When noodles are done throw the whole thing together, add the sour cream and YUMMO!!! Tonight I had enough for dinner and enough for at least three other meals - I stuck these in the freezer (they nuke nicely from frozen state).
I've made this before or very close but tonight I nailed it.

Date: 2003-03-06 07:42 pm (UTC)Vacuum sealed, then slow cooked to lock in all the flavor, Hormel Beef Tips with Gravy is a popular choice at meal time. Just heat in the specially designed package, add your own side dish and a few minutes later your family is sitting down to a home cooked meal!
Easy and delicious, home cooking at its finest in no time at all. Serve with rice, pasta or potatoes, add a salad or vegetables and you have a great meal that tastes just like mom made it from scratch.
