Betty Gone Again! But this time... I am smarter...

So, it dawned on me while I was out running errands that I hadn't seen Betty when I was home between work and errands. Lately she and Jake have been sacked out on the bed when I get home (no matter what time it is) and I hadn't looked on the bed.

I get home from running errands and there's Jake. No Betty. Check the bed, the closets, the likely places, no Betty. And she's the one with a bell on her collar (for obvious reasons) and no tinkling.

But, this time, instead of wringing my hands, calling the vet's (where her lo jack tag is registered), posting a frantic LJ entry, I started opening the drawers. She was in the second one I opened.

What is it with this cat and drawers??!!! I think I'm going to have to put cat doors on all my drawer fronts!

I wonder how Betty managed to open and close the drawer. Perhaps Jake helped her.

My Faye can occasionally open a cabinet door, but not very often. She managed to get into the bathroom cabinet last week, but couldn't get back out! She would push the door open an inch or two with her paw, then it would just bang shut again when she started to try to walk through. We had to go see what crazy racket was going on in the bathroom, and there she was stuck in the cabinet.
