West Seattle
Feb. 8th, 2009 12:38 pmSeattle has a little peninsula kind of thing hooking off just south of my part of town. It is a vibrant community with a lovely beach and town center and active neighborhoods. Its West Seattle Blog has morphed into a truly intelligent and vital source of local news. They have a farmers market every Sunday all year round and the most wonderful Skylark Cafe.
The Skylark is a band venue, an art showcase and on Saturday and Sunday mornings, a most excellent brunch spot. With the best bloody marys in the entire world. It is a comfortable place with excellent food. This morning they had an omlette that sounded pedestrian but tasted heavenly.
Then I finally remembered to get gas. My GPS lady found me a gas station on the way to the farmers market. I found homemade pate and locally cured ham at the farmers market and then went across the street and got a cupcake from the cupcake shop.
Is there any better way to spend Sunday morning??? I just don't think so.
