The Day After - Older, yes. Wiser?
Mar. 29th, 2003 09:25 amThanks to all my LJ friends for all the 'happy birthdays' yesterday. Sure made for a fun day all day long. So far 54 is turning out to be a good age. I'll keep you posted.
Normally, I'm a house hermit by choice on weekends. But, this weekend, between soccer and some kind of souped up cars show and Wrestlemania, I think I'll be right here if you need me. The streets will be clogged around here. If I need to go anywhere, it will be on foot. I did not get my Kung Pao Beef last night... mabye that will be a nice treat for tonight - a little stroll over to get it.
But before then there are chores. I have a housecleaner who comes in every two weeks to do the stuff that I am way too lazy to do. But, she's been sick and not here for now more than a month. I'm shocked to learn that this stuff does not get done on its own. I am going to have to break out that vacuum cleaner myownself. ARUGH. Jake and Betty are right now in a discussion that is going soon result in more cat hair on the carpet. Sigh.
Then I think I'm going to play around with my web photos - the ones I generally have posted here but like to keep in a web gallery. The one I have now is kind of a pain to add the odd photo to, so I'm going to try one that might be easier to maintain.
There's a Mariners game on TV today! And one tomorrow too. Tuesday starts the season - finally. And I have, of course, the afghan to work on, Netflix DVD's to watch... wow. This day is filling up fast. I'd better get to work.
You don't have to beg. You will, of course, get a full report. Later, gaters...

Date: 2003-03-29 09:45 am (UTC)btw, have you seen the MLB games (http://lists.mlb.com/u/71167/9585369) yet? Thursday I tried to tune into the live video on the net, but it said I was in the 'blackout' area for Yankees/Toronto. I didn't think Vancouver was in their 'home broadcast' area. there's another one today, Cleveland/Cincinnati. we'll see if they block me from that one, too. may have to check one of the archived games. anyway, they're pretty expensive for me, at $15/month with no job. guess I'll have to settle for the $20/season audio broadcasts.
