Middle of the Weekness

I am not that motivated today. I don't have a lot of 'must do's' on my desk and the 'could do's' aren't that interesting so I've been doing some research and just kind of screwing around most of the day. Some days you just need to do that.

The knitting needles I ordered arrived today so I can halt work on the big heavy afghan and pick up the light weight fun socks again. The afghan is for my Mom - she wanted one to go in her den - but I'm thinking that she's not going to need it any time soon in South Carolina. If it gets finished next month or the following, that will be soon enough. The socks are fun but relatively expensive to make. What the heck. They are fun.

Usually I give the afghans I knit to our local AIDS hospice. They have a Friday night bingo and I try to keep them supplied with one a month because (she says proudly) my afghans are the grand prize at the First Friday game... But, I just remembered that I do have a fair amount of left over sock yarn. I'll just betcha some hand knit socks might make a nifty bingo prize and would be a lot more fun to knit in the heat. hmmmm

My wireless modem did not arrive today although UPS says today is the delivery date. Oh well. Tomorrow's fine.

Can you tell I'm just wasting time here? This is really pitiful. Back to work for me.
