It is kind of coolish out this morning - at least the sun isn't blazing so I thought I'd take a walk. I figured I'd make a stop at the ATM so I set my sites for the one on the other side of the baseball stadium. This is about 6 very long blocks from here.

We play game 2 against Boston at 1 p.m. today. The series has been sold out for ages. The scalpers were out in force. Game starts at 1 and this was 9 a.m. They ride around on bikes hawking. The far side of the stadium is where the main entrance is. There were about a dozen little boys hanging around with some big boys kind of in a not-organized group. I couldn't quite figure out what was going on.

So I did my ATM thing and as I turned around a cab pulled up and out folded (he's pretty darned tall) Byung-Hyun Kim (Boston pitcher) and the boys snapped into action... Sharpies at the ready, Kim signed a dozen autographs before he got in the door. I thought it was quite enterprising of those kids.

And, FYI, Byung-Hyun Kim is quite the dish in civies. I never thought he was worth a second glance in uniform. Wrong-o. Very stylish as well. Hmmmmm

I wandered back home around the back side of the block and checked out game day preparations of the various vendors. Kind of fun.

The basketball thing is in full force. Here's what it looks like at ground level looking up at my terrace.

And here's what it looks like from the terrace.

Thow in the continous sound of referee whistles and you've pretty much got my life today!
