My deal with work is that I did everything I could on the RFP yesterday. I'm missing 4 medium sized pieces. When they come in, I'll go in. Until then, I'm home enjoying a day kind-of off.
LJ seems to be back from the slugdom that hit it yesterday and I was glad to read that at least some of my blacked out friends now have juice and are ok. When my folks lived in Manhattan we lived on the 9th floor and we had a terrace. Doable. But, later, Daddy had company apartments - one on the 23rd floor and then later one on the 24th. No terrace and I'm not even sure the windows opened at all. Ugh.
Who am I kidding. A few times our elevators have been out for one reason or another and climbing up here to the 4th floor was not fun. Of course there is probably no one you know who is more out of shape than I am.
Oh wait, if you are reading this, you know my Mom. As long as she's around, I'm still not the sluggiest slug. Yesterday she had an emergency trip to the doctor. No breath and hugely swollen legs and ankels. He increased one of her pills and told her NO MORE SALT at all. She goes back on Monday.
Today she's in good spirits. The Mariner-Boston game is on ESPN but not until 10 p.m. her time. So she's planning to take naps today so she can stay up. Our track record on national television is not that good. We won the other night but that was on Fox. Boston scares me. They are just mean and they are hungry.
