I have been into the office twice today and will go in at least once more. All because of one fuckchop who is, I sincerely believe, enjoying the heck out of jerking me around today. But, you know what? When you step back and look at it, it's not so bad. I have done what I want with the rest of my day. It's only a half a block to the office. He sure can't complain about my responsiveness so it's fun to jerk him back.

My timing is often strange. I didn't see the movie ET until it had been out about 10 years. I had no interest and once I saw it, I enjoyed it and wasn't sorry I waited. I saw Sex in the City when it first came on and could not work up the least bit of interest so I quit watching. Something - no idea what - made me order the DVD of the first year from Netflix and I watched a couple of episodes this morning and enjoyed it thoroughly and look forward to the rest. Go figure.

They are setting up my parking lot for basketball. They did this last year. It's fun. They set up about 50 portable nets and hold tournaments all day Saturday and Sunday. You shall have pics, I promise.

I ordered groceries to be delivered again. I gave Albertson's another go about a month ago and they were very nearly perfect. I'm hoping for that again but I'm not betting the ranch. We'll see. Delivery is tomorrow afternoon.

I got an email today from a Half.Com customer asking about the IPAQ that I listed many weeks ago and deleted from inventory shortly thereafter. It is not listed in my inventory but if I do a search it does, indeed, show one listed by me. I sent them a note asking them to fix their listing. I've never had much luck with their customer service. We'll see.

annoying. i don't let them substitute anymore because they don't understand the products they sell. otherwise, they're good ... and better than safeway.

I used to sell lots of stuff on half.com. Then I realized they are charging a fee on each purchase that is not part of the selling fee. It is an inflated shipping charge that gives them about $1.10/book. It pissed me off to no end and I have never used them since. I ask them about it and they said it covered the cost of "items lost in the mail" I am not buying that answer. They are ripping the buyer and seller off.

A friend of mine up in Canada kept raving about Sex and the City for a couple years. Since I don't have cable, it was another series that I wasn't up on (like The Sopranos...never seen a bit of it)

He said he knew I would enjoy it...so, I finally gave it a shot thru Netflix a few months ago...and enjoyed watching 5-6 episodes at a time....my own little SATC film festivals

Now I'm all caught up...and watch the new ones on Sunday evenings with a neighbor friend.
The only problem...seemed like it took forever for Season Four to come out.

As far as I know, Season 5 is still not out on DVD, but if you catch up and would like to see it, I'll be happy to ship my VCR of the Season to you when you're ready for it.

I saw ET when it came out and didn't like it, but then I hardly like any Spielberg. Whenever his movies try to evoke an emotional response I find myself thinking, "I don't want to be manipulated that way." But I liked Schindler's List.
