Ozzy Osborne was medicated?? Now who would have ever suspected that? Or, more to the point probably, why is it news?

I'm in yet another direct mail project from hell. 400 addresses. This time my only job is stuffing, stamping and mailing. The guy dictating the deadline (Wednesday) is the guy supplying the letters and labels. He said he'd have them Friday. Friday he sent email saying he'd have them first thing Monday. This morning there was an email saying he had to take his son to day care so he'd be in late. His tardiness, however, has no affect on the deadline.

I'm sorry for those of you in the snow belt who hate snow. But, that does not prevent me from a giant case of snow envy. I'm loving the snow pictures and wishing I could take some of my own. I'm particularly envious of [livejournal.com profile] joyofmac's snow day!

We don't have snow but we do have blissfully cool weather these days and I'm very grateful. Cooler would be fine, however.

I watched about half of Finding Nemo before I gave up. It was pretty but that wasn't enough to keep me. I just remembered that I forgot to bring in the Netflix for mailing back. I'll have to run home and get them in a bit. I'm going to need to replace this contact lens anyway. I'm very grateful to live a half block from work.

Yesterday I discovered another potential employer - a little software company tucked into an old warehouse about a half block the other way from here and across the street. They have now made my coveted list.

I just read that the Mike Cameron (center fielder) is leaving the Mariners. I love Mike and I have no idea why. Well, he's hot and he has the greatest smile in the whole world, but otherwise, I know squat about him except he's good at his job and I'll miss him.

Arthur Rhodes - one of our pitchers - is also not coming back but I'm luke warm about that. He just never struck me as a real keeper anyway.

Shiggy - Shigetoshi Hasegawa - is coming back and that's fine. He could be a better pitcher - he's good but not great - but he's a fun kind of guy. He writes books about English for the Japanese. And he's cute.

10 weeks to spring training...
