Somehow and I'm not quite sure how, I found the most delicious web blog. BlueJake.Com has some of the most wonderful photographs. The guy lives in NYC and really makes the most of it. I've written him for puzzle permission but I won't be surprised if I never hear anything. I've just killed a bunch of time wandering through his galleries. Wow. [edit: I heard right away and he gracioiusly agreed to let me puzzle his stuff. Hang on, Nellie!]

I'm stuffing and stamping the 400 today. I've organized it all so well now that it is kind of a nice, mindless little chore.

I love snapping people with my cellphone camera but most of the people don't understand what is happening. So then I try to explain and write down the URL for the buzznet site and it ends up being just not smooth. When VistaPrints first hit the scene I was in between jobs and looking so I did their free business card thing. I got 250 lovely little business cards that include the URL of my website, my name, address and phone number. I still have bunches and I like them because they don't have my cell number on them.

This morning I found a little graphic and added it to the buzznet URL and printed up labels which I then slapped on the back of these personal cards. I am so set now. I need to go back to the deli where I just confused the heck out of them this morning.

Snow cam... [livejournal.com profile] magicwoman mentioned the Minneapolis Star Tribune's web cam in her LJ this morning. I had totally forgotten about that and when I checked it out, I discovered they have upgraded substantially. You can now explore all over downtown Minneapolis and, today, see snow!

[livejournal.com profile] kjaz says I should poll the congregation. He started it. He said he tipped his letter carrier because she gives him superior and special service and attention.

There is no one and I mean NO ONE who is a better letter carrier than mine! He tells me who his hiring in the 'hood and who has the coolest offices to work in. He delivers my 'lumpy mail' (usually books) to work instead of to home because he knows I can't wait. He slips cool catalogues into my mail when the addressee is long long. He's just the best.

But, I've never thought of tipping him because he's a friend. And it feels funny to tip a friend. If I baked, I might think cookies. But not cash. Maybe a gift certificate? But to where? But why not cash? Just because I've never thought of it? He's only been my carrier for about 8 years now. Geesh.

What's the consensus? Cash? How much? Remember, this guy is fabulous. And I've never given him anything but a huge smile and lots and lots of thank yous.
