Today I need to clean up the house. Not deep clean but the kind of clean that one would do if one were expecting company. Except I'm not. So I'm going to pretend that I am having company and clean up appropriately.

Then maybe I'll pull together a pretend spread in case they are hungry.

Nice walk today. The Krispy Kreme building is coming along nicely. It's really big. There are a lot of things going on at the Exhibition Center - a roadster show, a gaming show and tomorrow is a big cartoon thing. Makes for an interesting mix of neighborhood visitors.

Time to get to work!

The house is clean. Really. It's quite presentable. And the sheets are clean. I even washed the duvet cover. All laundry is done and put away. I'm proud.

I got a yarn catalogue today from a place that sells nice yarn at relatively reasonable prices. It's more expensive than the place I usually use but the yarns are scrumtious. Knitting is enjoying a rise in popularity but I don't see how people are affording it. Even with inexpensive yarns, an average sweater takes about $60-$100 in yarn. In this catalogue, I found a luscious sweater/jacket that looks very difficult to knit and uses beautiful yarns. If money was no object, it is the one I would order (it's a kit, yarn and pattern in one package). It's \4450. That's the yarn and the pattern. Amazing. I wonder who buys a kit like that?

Now I'm off to Mom's computer to do her Windows update... Then it will be TV time for moi.
