I started out my walk this morning along the waterfront. I was a little later than usual and so far it is a perfect outside day. So I wasn't terribly surprised to find more feet on the street and more bicycles but as I got to the ferry dock I started seeing a lot more bicycles with riders in colorful serious bike costumes and numbers on their back. They were everywhere and the light bulb went off.

It's the ferry over to the Chilly Hilly. My friend, Fran has been talking about this - getting in shape - and I've been ignoring it because A) I don't do hills and 2) I don't do things that require helmets. But, it was wild to see all the riders... Here, somewhere I'm sure, is my friend Fran.

More pix - just click on the camera...

And there is another crowd gathering at the Exhibition Center - I think these must be for the Game Tournament or the Comicon. The line is snaking around and getting pretty long.

I sent out my resume after a couple of opportunities. Microsoft hires contractors for contracts that last no more than a year. Then the contractor has to take 100 days off before they can enter a new contract with Microsoft. So, there are often advertisements for 100 day contracts. I think this would be a good way to get in and see if this is what I want to do. The note I found today (from a mailing list I'm on) is for two 100 day slots for experienced content editors. That's moi. Right now, I'm picky. I want early shift hours and high per hour pay. Stay tuned.

Today's project is photo organization. I have a bunch of pictures - mainly those I've taken for LJ that are just sitting in folders on my server. I need to make albums so I can see them - and not just their file names - the actual photos. Be nice, too, to have a link to send to others who want to see. I probably will just use FrontPage's gallery thingie.

But, first, I need a shower. Later...
