No right to be annoyed

I am fighting annoyance. Work was very frustrating today but in the end, the frustration was totally wiped out so that frustration is really vestigial.

The stupid Fujitsu website has been telling me for a week that my new toy will be shipped today. But, I finally got wise tonight and called to learn that, in spite of what their stupid website says, it will be shipped next Thursday. This really is annoying because they charged me sales tax and I could have gone down to Frys and bought one last week. Oh well, this way I got the CD drive instead of the diskette drive and a free case... Grrrr.

I got an email from a friend that I really don't want to hear from. She and her husband (I actually introduced them) have been friends for 30 years. A couple of years ago they got divorced. To this day she cannot utter a sentence without ensuring that somewhere in the sentence you get the idea that her husband (also my friend) is a scum sucking even lifeform. I gave her a year of that and tried to be supportive. But I'm over the whole supportive thing. Everytime she sends me email, I wish she'd forget my email address. I answer her quickly and with minimal information. Tonight, my reply netted a return note from her 'you don't sound happy... What's wrong??' I was minimally annoyed before that but that put me over the edge.

I have dinner cooking in the oven. Lots of good books in my tobereadnext stack. Lots of yarn. Lots of baseball. It's lovely and and cool and raining out and the tree outside my terrace still has leaves so I can actually hear the rain. I have nothing that has to be done over the next two days.

There is no reason in the world for me to be annoyed. None.
