A free day

All the laundry is done. Clean sheets are on the bed. The kitchen is clean. Roomba is roomba-ing.

I half expected the Microsoft expert to call at 7. His email - which I finally got - said he was available from 4:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. I replied that any time after 7 would be fine. I also re-iterated that they should be using my cellphone to contact me. I'd like to get this freakin' printer installed and move on with my life.

I do need to take my little rolling cart and go down to the car and get some Diet Dr. Pepper and some kitty litter that is down there. And I have a little bag of garbage for the dumpster.

There's a high school football thing going on today at the football stadium complete with music thing. They built a band shell kind of deal yesterday. I suspect it could get loud in here today. I hope I didn't pack up the air conditioner too soon. I could need it today for noise cancellation.

I have two more episodes of Six Feet Under to watch on the Netflix DVD's I have in house. Baseball game is at 1. Life is good here and I've very very grateful. (And Betty is just not that comfortable when Roomba is working. I think she feels guilty that she isn't doing her part. Jake is happy to ignore it and snicker at her.)

One thing leads to another... [livejournal.com profile] roadskoller commented to my previous entry asking who Jake and Betty were so I thought I'd be clever and reply with the photo that is on my web page only when I got there, I discovered that the link to the bigger version was broken.

Most of the photos on my website (and, due to the years of Kingdome photos) there is hefty amount, are housed on a host that I rarely touch any more. When I went to check on the picture, I discovered that I did not even have a copy of the photos on my desktop!

I remember about a year ago my harddrive was full of stuff that could be easily offloaded so I decided to buy a big external drive and do that. Meanwhile because the website photos were such a huge chunk of change, I deleted all of them off of the desktop harddrive.

I totally forgot to ever download them again onto the new big external harddrive. Yikes! Zero backups. Holey moley.

They are ftping as I type.

Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] roadskoller for asking the question!

I still do love this picture...
