I just got a new batch of docs to convert from Word to XML. I love these things. There is no thinking required. Just copy, paste, surround with code, repeat. There aren't multiple ways of doing it. It's not subjective. It's straightforward and oh so satisfying.
I think maybe today's the day for a quick Costco run. I need steak and gas. And ya gotta love that list.
The past two days have been spent right here just pounding away at the keyboard and on one of those days I hit a particularly frustrating bit that went on for several hours. Last night my body suggested that I not do that any more. That I maybe get up and move now and again. Maybe go to Costco. Maybe take a walk. I need to quit thinking those are good ideas and start doing them before I die of hurt.
My tax docs are coming like glue this year. I did finally find out that they do have to be postmarked by January 31 so they might not even all dribble in until mid February. But, I also read that the IRS is not as anal about home offices as it used to be so maybe I can catch a break there.
I have a book to add to the book pages on my website and some puzzles to add to the puzzle pages. I am falling behind. I'm still feeling my way through this work at home thing. I like it. I'm keeping it. But, I haven't gotten it down to a science yet.
And, now I need to get out of this bed, get into the shower, get dressed and get to work. And I'm going to do just that.
