I hate software...

I had a knock down drag out battle with some software this afternoon. I ended up winning but not before I got the life blood sucked out of my afternoon. Goddamn computers anyway.

Then while I was trying to get one computer stabilized, I decided to update another one and it went wonky. Got that one fixing and decided to update my puzzle page and Fucking Front Page said there were no extensions on the server. Yes there are, you piece of shit.

Reinstalled the server extensions, got the little computer updated and stable and then won the battle on the laptop. But, I'm bloody and not that happy.

Plus, at 4:30, I was dying of thirst but I have two cats sitting here just counting the seconds until 5 p.m. dinner time. I knew if I went to the kitchen and did not feed them, I'd get written up in the complaint column of Cat NotSoFancyButBigOnTude Weekly.

And then I thought??!!! Who's paying the mortgage here?? I'm thirsty and I'm going to the kitchen. You got a problem with that learn to tell time! [note: Be sure and check the next issue of that cat rag, I know I'm going to be the lead bitch.]

Even I'm glad it's Friday now.

Do you give your cats wet food or dry?

When my cat was anorexic (long story...it was sick not an eating disorder) I had to feed it wet food because it had more calories in it. I hate that stuff. It's foul. The cat adored it though!

They actually always have a huge bowl of dry food. At 5 p.m. they share half a can of wet. They only get the wet because I suspect Jake's teeth are not in great shape at 17 years old. Can't give him good stuff and not Betty. And you are right - it is gross and disgusting. But they think it's Godiva chocolate.

I relate with the trip to the kitchen thing. Now that I have Zoey in the mix, it's even worse. It's like trying to walk through a kitty mine field.

Oh yeah, 4:30. I get hungry. I get thirsty. But the slightest motion or word gets everyone into an uproar. Maybe 5 pm has been moved up! Maybe it's time for everyone to eat now! Just maybe. So I try to sit quietly, hungrily, thirstily, waiting... until everyone leaps into action at 5, by which time, I've lost interest, or my appetite is completely out of whack.
