I rarely remember my dreams or even really know if I did dream. So it creeps me out an about 19 different levels that I had and remember a very vivid sex dream about my ex-husband last night. If he's alive, he's 78 years old. Our divorce was final 24 years ago. Even on paper, our marriage was only 2 and a half years long. I saw him once in 24 years about a decade ago and I got one email from him about 3 years ago. All that is contact aplenty. I do not need him in my dreams, thankyouverymuch. Ick.

And speaking of old age, my ass and thighs and arms are acutely aware of yesterday's clean up under the desk chores. OUCH. Jake, however, is now King of his Kastle. Before the cleanup, he'd hide - back to the outside under there. Now, he's face forward sprawled out on his red sheet just wallowing in the My New Home-ness of it all. It's very nice to have your work appreciated.

It's official. The Mariners suck. There is no redemption this year. Last night, in the middle of the game - Oakland-Mariners 2 as they prepared to clinch their 14th straight loss, I gave up. I watched Design Star instead. Generally, I don't mind losing. I was an Atlanta Braves fan for years and years and years - long before they won anything. The Mariners have had some good years. No great years. But, somehow this year is more disappointing than most. I hate the manager. He's just not even remotely interesting. Does not seem fired up or interested and is boring. All my favorite players are gone and I haven't glommed onto a new one this year. It's just sad. I'll watch the rest of the games - at least watch at them... But, I'm really done for the year. Sigh.

I actually do have some work work to do this morning so I think I'll get to it.

I was just sitting here minding my own business - catching up on LJ if you must know - with my favorite TV Show "The Front Door of My Condo" on the TV when I start seeing cops. Lots of cops.

Then I see the building manager which is about as amazing since no one can ever find him. And then the assistant building manager and then a copy with one of those giant guns that has a shoulder strap!!!!!

Jake and Betty are pestering me with questions and I tell them that I am not the nosey neighbor type. So I call Sherry and Lee. Those fools are still at work. Scott won't answer his phone either. Magots!! Finally Jake and Betty convince me to go downstairs. Well, I could check the package locker and see if I got anything today.

So I go down. The lobby is Cop City and they are scarey looking. They are all stalking around and talking into their shoulders and I realize that if I hang out down there they might tell me to get out and not let me back upstairs. So I get back in the elevator. The building manager slides in too so I had the chance for a quick What The Fuck???!!!

He said there's some resident on the 2nd floor who's bi polar, unstable, has guns and has somehow communicated his interest in using them!!!

Holy fuck. I'm back on the 4th floor now and I've instructed Jake and Betty to lay low. I left a message at Lee and Sherry's (they are very good at scooping out the condo skippy). Stay tuned. Film at 11. Oh speaking of which I wonder if the CBS reporter who lives down the hall knows about this... hmmmm

They had all the streets blocked off but I just heard the Duck tour bus go by so I'm guessing we're back in operation. The guy lived on Sherry's end of the building and she was getting ready to leave when she ran into the swat team! She said the guy was holed up in his unit and said he'd shoot the first person who opened the door.

I hope he's ok.

Pretty darned exiting.

Jake and Betty also got a surprise. My neighbor has a sweet dog that is about the size of big beagle. The neighbor with dog on the leash stopped at my open door to get the poop and then we heard the report on the TV so I told him and the dog to come on in. Betty split fast. She's probably still in the back of the closet. But, Jake stayed right on point. Upon the desk and eagle eye at the ready.

That poor puppy... sooooo many smells that needed smelling! It was funny.

Hmmm they still have the crime scene tape blocking off the sidewalk at the front door. Maybe it's not over yet.
