My new PC is nearly (or probably already is) ready and sitting in Texas.  I could pressure my brother to pack it up and ship it over night and I could easily have it Friday or even tomorrow.  But, I'm not going to.

I don't want to pressure my brother.  He's been very good about this whole thing and while I am a paying customer, I am getting special 'sister' attention and I want reward him for that by making it as good and fun and stress free as possible.  I gather he's enjoying pimping out a new box for me and I like that.

Plus, I know it's going to be wonderful and fun to explore and I want to prolong the joy of discovery of all the new stuff.  Plus I already have the one - albeit so far disappointing - new toy in the DS Lite.

So I will wait - even though this new second monitor is staring me down but I can wait and I will.  Meanwhile, I am going through everything on this one and saving off to one of my external harddrives or making notes for what to do at the last minute (save Outlook stuff off to there, as well).

----------

It looks like work will be quiet today.  I had a 7 a.m. launch that got partially aborted because the guy who dumped it all on Friday forgot to flip a switch.  He won't be back from vacation until Monday.  He's going to be so not happy with himself when he finds out what he did (and realizes how many ways he shot himself in the foot).

----------

My scalp crud is seriously improved.  Amazingly.  Since it is in the very back of my head at the scalp line, I can't get a visual but it no longer itches at all and it feels nearly like the rest of my scalp instead of hard and crusty.  Way more better.

----------

And those are the morning headlines here at SDHQ.

Work is slow and there's a hair cut deal and as often happens when there is a convergence of if/then's - the decision gets made for me.

My salon (Studio 904) is really great but way too expensive these days.  (On the up side, they don't allow tipping...) But they charge less for their less experienced (protege) stylists and they have daily web specials.  So I can go to their website and check their specials and if they have a protege appointment available, I can call and claim it.

Today's is at noon.  So I've just taken the 'before' picture.

And, as soon as I made the appointment and started this entry, I got 3 new bugs in my queue!  So after hair, there will be work!

Well, she talked me out of it.

I was all set for really short and spikey - I kind of had something like mohawk meets weedeater in mind.  And she sweet talked me into what I had (which I really do like) but shorter.  She hacked off about 3 inches but I am thinking 4 or 4.5 might have been better.  Next time.

Nothing drastic.  [livejournal.com profile] aellia, the kitties really appreciated your checking on them.   You can peek now.  I'm going over to the chaise work station and get crackin'.
