Better.  I paid attention this time.  Still 10 minutes at 2.  My hip(s) started hurting about 4.2 into it.  Not really hurting but I could feel them.  They felt like they do when I sit crosslegged with the laptop on my knees for more than a couple of hours without getting up.  Anyway... I did another minute and a half and then I ratcheted up the speed to a whopping 2.5 and tried that.  Better!  Seriously.  No hurting for the last 4 mins.  No hurting on the walk home.  I'm healed!!

[livejournal.com profile] mtgirl gave me a suggestion about stickers on a calendar. I do keep a really pretty Seattle wall calendar here next to the desk.  So yesterday I got stars stickers.  And now I have one on each of three days.  It's fun to get a sticker!  I may be closing in on 58 but some of me is still 5.

Now I have about 45 mins until time to leave for Susan's and my chore is to figure out how to restore my right mouse click menu function in IE. Works in everything else.  When I right mouse click in IE I get the menu but nothing is 'hot'.  I cannot live without my right mouse clicks and I have no idea how to get them back!

I downloaded and installed IrfanView yesterday and got kind of tangled up because it wouldn't install.  Vista wants you to 'install as administrator' but doesn't come right out and tell you that and I haven't gotten in the habit (and it's not the default from IE download) BUT anyway...

While I was trying to get IrfanView to install, I missed the 'install the Google tool bar' option that is the default and the thing got onto my browser.  I have a love/hate relationship with that thing and had decided not to install it, but, alas there it was.  So I just deselected it so it doesn't show.

However opening a new browser  instance brings the thing up again.

And... when the Google bar is visible... the right mouse menu is dead.  Google bar unselected... the right mouse menu works fine.

I'm not even sure how I lucked into the answer so quickly. If I hadn't, I can't imagine who in the world I would have figured it out. Whew.

My 1999 Ford Escort turned 8,888 miles today on the way back from Susan's.  But before that... at 8,877 miles the Service Engine Soon light came on.  Looks like it's time for a trip to my friendly mechanic's. He will sigh and look at me like I'm crazy as a loon and ask 'why don't you drive this car?????'  The oil change sticker says it should have been changed in December of 2006 or at 10,236 miles (which will likely in December of 2008 or later).  If he wants to change it again, that's fine with me.  I trust him totally.

Why is it that the few times a year when I run out of gas, are also the times that the gas prices go up?  It seems like my petrol karma is about 10 pixels off.
