I am ready to get up and dressed and get started on the day but Travis is having a major attack of the snugglies. He's purring so loudly that I can hardly hear NPR. How can I leave this? Plus there's nothing that's really demanding I do anything right now.

I'm taking a gym day off. No work yet. I'm going to run the latest crop of teddy bears into the Baby Corner but they don't open until 9.

So until then, if you need me, I'm here in bed with coffee and a warm kitty, my computer and NPR. And, yes, I do fully appreciate just how very lucky I am to be able to enjoy this luxury.

I realized this morning that Flickr was deleting my older photos! You are limited by amount of uploads per month WITH a 200 photo limit. Ok, fine. What.ever. I'll pay. It's not that much really, it's the principal but sometimes the air is too thin up on that high horse.

So I try to upgrade but the site won't let me. I try on two different browsers and two different computers and keep getting an error 15 with a note to contact Yahoo Customer Center. It took me a while to find that but I did and sent them an email.

I got a response about 2 hours later telling me to try later. I tried. No joy. Fuck that. I'll just open up another free Flickr account. My main one is tied to a yahoo account that is the middle name I was given at birth (but no longer use).

So I logged onto Yahoo with susandennis.com and my usual password and bingo!! This Yahoo account is so old that the default email address is for the ISP I gave up in 1998. Ya gotta love that. But, with this new/old account I was able to set up a new Flickr account for just my tree pictures!

I felt quite smart, thank you. I figure by the time I get 200 tree pictures, Microsoft will have turned the Flickr/Yahoo experience into something entirely different. I'll deal with it then.

In the olden days when you had a subscription to something like Time or People, about a year before your subscription ended you started to get calls and letters begging you to re-up.  Sometimes the longer you waited the price dropped.  Often the longer you waited, you could snag a cool re-up gift like a cheesey (thanks to my editor, [livejournal.com profile] howeird) clock or something.  It was a fun game.  Apparently it is over.

My People magazine subscription ran out!  I think I must have gotten one or two things in the mail but nothing urgent, nothing cheap and nothing with a free gift.  So I must have ignored me and those fuckers cut me off!

Wow.  It's a cold, cruel world.  I have paid up and they promise I can come back into the fold.  I hope they hurry.  No telling what juicy gossip I have missed.
