Wow. I have not had a minute all day. I slept like a log. When I got into bed last night, I trussed up my leg with ice and in about 5 minutes I came to the excruciating realization that I had tied it up way too tightly. OMG did that hurt. For a while. But once I got the ice adjusted and the pain went away, I was fine and slept through the night. This morning there was only the tiniest hint of a problem with my leg but I decided to play it safe. I walked around a bit and then got to work - much work to do.

Chef Anita came and I barely had time to even notice - although, I did notice that the house smelled delicious.

At lunch I stole 15 minutes and went down the block and got a hot dog. My leg felt fine - just fine and dandy. I did ice it down again when I got back but I think it's past the crisis point. Back to the gym for me tomorrow. Yeah. I am very done with hurting.

Work is going to be crazy tomorrow and Thursday and then I'm gone. I am still trying to limit my hours. No more 10-14 hour days. Only in dire emergencies. The rest of the time, I plan to have and enjoy a larger chunk of me time in every day. Heads down long days just make me impossible to work with and impossible to live with (I can't even stand myself).

So I'm making sure my days are doable. Or at least try.

Tonight I am having Turkey Pocket Sandwich (really more of a pasty than sandwich) with Mushroom Sauce.

In the freezer is:

Seafood Casserole and Broccoli
Beef Pot Pie
Baked Sausage Manicotti with Caesar Salad and garlic bread
Breaded Pan-Fried Pork Medallions with Roasted Radishes

Plus I have fresh spinach with Feta Cheese Dressing and 2 tart shells and quiche makings.

---

Plus, she'll be back on June 7 and here's the lineup for then:

Philadelphia Steak Sandwiches with Creamy Roasted New Potato Salad
Tortilla Espanola
Chicken Marsala with Creamy Orzo Pasta
Pork in a Clay Pot with Rice and Roasted Sugar Snap Peas
Salmon Cakes with Creole Honey Mustard Sauce and Roasted Fingerling Potatoes
