Gym Report

I did 20 top minutes on the treadmill and then 10 solid minutes with weights and me (crunches and planks). Normally on Thursdays I'd go to Marci's class but today they are going to do their outside thing - walking stair climbing, etc - in the heat and the sun of the afternoon. I promised myself I did not have to do that. So I didn't.

Now I am hot and sweaty and heading into the shower and then back to work.

Now I am hot and sweaty and heading into the shower and then back to work.

I've gotten a fair amount of work done today and have a little bit more to do. My concentration is off but I'm making do.

I have a batch of breakfast muffins in the oven. My last batch were the best ever. More eggs, more cheese, I think that's the ticket we shall see. I used 10 eggs this time with a cup and a half each of cream and bisquix and about 3 cups of grated cheddar with cayenne and, of course, sausage. Browning sausage on my induction burner is such a breeze. I can set it on low and just forget about it, go back and break it up and forget again and by the third time it's perfect.

I'm also waiting to hear from Ann. Ron's heart surgery was today. I went down there, not wanting to tie up her phone, but no one answered the door. So I came back here and called and got the answering machine so I left a message.

AND.. just as I typed those words, Ann walked in the door. All is good. They did a valve replacement and found a good one in his heart so they did not have to get one out of his leg. She's supposed to call be in a couple of hours and they will let her know when they yank the thing out of his throat and he'll be visitor ready. She was very relieved.

So all is good. No baseball tonight so it will be TiVo cleanup which is excellent.

Now it's back to work time.
