Long long day ahead
Nov. 6th, 2012 08:47 amYes, I voted - two weeks ago. And no, I do not miss having to go to a polling place. I moved to Seattle 20 years ago. I voted a few blocks from here for a couple of years and then two things happened. 1. They moved our polling place to a secret location that I never did find and 2. They offered absentee ballots (vote-by-mail) as a default. I signed right up and never looked back.
I heard two stupid news stories this morning that are, I'm sure, a bellweather of the stupid news stories that will go on all day long into the night
1. Man on the Street interviews (which I always hate anyway - I'm guessing they just toss out those who don't give them quotes to match their story assignments and I assume smart, articulate people (like me hehahahha) never agree to do them) of people who missed polling places - who missed standing in line - who voted so they could get a sticker... arugh...
2. Another Man of the Street interview of young voters for whom procuring a stamp and finding a mailbox was beyond their abilities. "I've never bought stamps. Why can't we vote online? Now I have to go find one of those boxes."
OMG OMG OMG
Long long long day...
And it appears that few if any of our state elections will be decided tonight or even tomorrow.

Chef Anita comes today. Yeah!! Now that she only comes once a month, I appreciate her food more than ever because I have so much of mine to compare it to.
And I'm off to Mill Creek. I have an appointment with my financial adviser to figure out how we are going to support me in my retirement. His office is about 45 minutes from here and right next to Frost Donuts which has the best donuts I have ever had the pleasure to slip between my lips.
I'm looking forward to making some financial decisions but I am really looking forward to that donut!
