today's basket

I can't believe I just did this

So I'm sitting here at the computer thinking about getting my day going at some point when I spy a tweet from Garfunkel & Oates saying that they are going to be in Seattle on Saturday!! I love these two - they crack me up plus they do lovely harmonies.

I click through and turns out they are going to be at some casino outside of Seattle. But, let's just see what the ticket prices are... Wait, I can get a decent seat for $20 (including fees)??? hmmmm how can I get there? Oh, there's a bus... a bus that makes a pick up right here - across the parking lot! $10 bucks - pay when you board - but it looks like you get some of that back when you get there.

So I'm going to do it! Saturday night. I get on the bus at 6:15 and get there at 7:10. Concert is at 8. Bus leaves to come home at 11:10 (hopefully, this is after the concert - it's the last bus back so no choice but I'm sure it will be fine).

Wild. I'm actually quite excited.

It is raining buckets out there and has been all morning. I could hear it this morning from my bed which is quite rare but oh so lovely.

I have a buttload of holds to pick up at the library - books on getting a dog and learning how to draw! The pool is 2 blocks beyond the library, so I'll go on the way to swim.

Not a whole lot else so far planned for today but, heck, the day is young and look what's happened so far!
