Don't be silly!
Jan. 8th, 2013 08:37 amLast night just before I went to sleep I had a wifi epiphany. I am paying a fair amount for this beautiful room with this beautiful view in this lovely hotel. The wifi - which is exceptional wifi - is $50 a day if we sign up all our devices. If they had told me originally that my room rate was $350 instead the $300 I'm paying, I would not have batted an eye.
This is my one trip a year. My one time to see my brother and have a wonderful quality bonding time with him. My agreement with me is to spare no expense and just make it the best it can be. So why in the hell am I being so hardass about this charge???
So we hitched on our devices and are happy as clams now.

We did it. And we did it big. We walked and walked and talked and stood and walked and gaped and chatted and walked and stood and I don't know if I have ever been more tired. Whew.
But, it was great. So great.
Best swag = a vibrator from Trojan (no shit, really).
Best idea = NFC speakers
Coolest thing we saw = a curtain of falling water programmed to show designs and spell out the name of the company
Last year there were a shitload of booths with iphone covers. This year it's e-cigarettes.
Samsung had a huge booth with a baciallion people in it and nearly their entire product line - from clothes washers to cameras. It was impressive.
Tomorrow morning we're going to hit the Intel booth early. My brother wants to chat up some of the folks there. We have a lot more of the show to see and only one day to see it in.
But, it was great. So great.
