President's Day Laundry

It's time.  There is no more room in the hamper and I am wearing socks that really need to go to Goodwill.  One of the many upsides of living alone is that you do not have to do anyone else's laundry.  One of the downsides is that no one ever does yours!

One of the many delights of my new phone is it's battery... it just keeps going and going and going...  I did not plug it in last night just to see what would happen.  What happened is that it has now been running on battery alone for 24 hours and still has 43% of the battery left to go.  Fucking amazing.

I also just discovered that my audible.com app listens to other devices. I'd been listening to a book on my old phone but decided I wanted to finish it on the new one which has a much better speaker.  So I checked my bookmark on the old phone and fired up the new one and got a Kindle-ly message asking if I wanted to resume where I stopped last night on another device.  Yes, please!

Outside of multiple laundry loads, I've got nothing going on today.  There is no where I really need and/or want to go.  No movies I want to see.  I do have bears to knit and TiVo has hours of watching pleasure lined up and waiting.  So I'm good.  And I'd better get started!

All caught up...

3 loads of laundry.  Now clean and folded and put away.  Dishwasher emptied.  Now I have it working on the capture bin of my little cordless carpet stain lifter.  The bin is fabricated in such a way that you cannot get into it to clean and it's disgusting.  I set it on the bottom rack of the dishwasher and set the thing for Hot, Steam, and Extra Power.  My fingers are crossed.  I wouldn't mind the sight of it so much but the smell is gross.

I've cleaned up stuff and put stuff away.  I'm all organized and happy about it.

I finished a bear and started a new one.  I watched my podcasts from this weekend and am toying with watching last night's Downton Abbey.  I hate to finish off the season but there doesn't seem to be much reason to fake prolong it either.

So I guess I'll fire up Laura Linney one last time.

For the record

My gmail filter has given me a nice bird's eye view of LJ spam.   It is far less feast and famine than I thought.  Apart from that one day when I got a ton, mostly it's 1 or 2 every other day or so.  But, now, it's been 5 days without.

I will say that now that I don't have the email slapping me in the face every time, I'm pretty sure I don't care any more.
