Today is Chef Anita day. She just got here and cooking is commencing.
Last night I 'shopped' online for Betty's new kitty and basically came away overwhelmed. It's weird - looking at cats online does not make me run out to adopt in general. But I can hardly bear to look at dogs online because I want every single one of them.
But, I did get a list of places and printed out their info forms to fill out and developed a plan. I figured tomorrow, I'd head out. The first one opens at 11.
And then I posted about it on Google Plus and a guy I used to work with posted a link that totally changed my plans. The link was to Jasper who is the most precious and perfect sounding kitty ever. And she's at the same shelter that gave me Betty and Travis!! They aren't open on Mondays and Tuesdays and don't open until noon. But I think the new plan is to be there at noon tomorrow.

Betty is in denial so far. She won't even look at the screen.
In other non-news, swim class at noon today.

Mar. 5th, 2013 11:08 amThe CPA just called and asked me if I was paying for health insurance. I had totally forgotten to tell him about the $360 COBRA payments!!! This means I will get a refund that will cover his fee!
Then he went on to explain that the money I am living on (the withdrawal from my finances) is money I have already paid the taxes on! So my quarterly tax payments which I thought were going to be maybe $2k every 3 months are going to be $0 every three months!!!!
Wooo hoooo!!!
He asked if he could discuss an idea he had for next year with my finance guy so they could plan for me better and I told him I'd be thrilled and grateful if my two money men could meet and make my life better. Wow. I am so lucky to have these two guys. I'd be a bag lady without them.
And whew.

Anita's been coming here to cook for more than 2 years now - maybe even 3. Betty has rarely even shown her face. Today, she wouldn't leave the kitchen. Anita stepped on her tail a couple of times and that didn't even chase her out.
Now, if my plan of getting her company doesn't work, I'm going to be fresh out of ideas...
Swim class today was particularly fun. We had a couple of new folks and lots of the fun regulars.
Anita's packed up her knives and gone and I have delicious stuff for dinner tonight and the freezer is full.
