I am a... ahem... plus sized... person. AKA - fat. I mostly like my clothes stretchy (knit) and loose (oversized). The new pants I got are a little more fitted than most of my clothes but I kind of like that.

Last night, after dinner, I was feeling really bloated. I hadn't eaten that much but man, was I ever uncomfortable... I could not figure it out, until I got up to pee and when I pulled my pants down, the lightbulb went off (now, that's a lovely visual, isn't it???). I changed into a pair of my regular pants and BAM, bloating problem solved!!!

Maybe I'll just call the new pants, diet pants.

I wear a fitness tracker (yeah the words above this sentence and the next few sentences do NOT match, I get that). It's a Misfit Shine. When you start non-regular activities, like swimming, you triple tap it, it gives you a light indicator and off you go. When you finish you tap it again and then it knows how to report the activity.

This morning, I triple tapped it until my tapping finger was sore and no action. So when I came home, I changed the battery and then I synced it up a bunch of times and still no action. My little fitness tracker was losing its grip. I tried all kinds of things and then, finally. when to the app's device page and discovered that somehow the 'track specific activities' option had been turned off?????? Why would you even want to turn this off and how did it get turned off?? I turned it on and BAM triple tap and all the lights came back.

Soooooooooo it's going to be that kind of day, eh? Ok. I can deal. No prob.

I forgot, when I made my nail appointment for 11 that the Mariner game is at 12:40 today. The straightforward way to get to and from is right past the stadium. Not top notch thinking there. BUT totally doable now that I am aware. I can either stay over in West Seattle a little longer OR just take a detour coming home. No biggie.

Now I think it's time to get up and get into my diet pants and get on with my day.

More wins

So... the new LA Fitness has lots o' parking. And they were happy to see me. I had to sign a waiver that probably said I wouldn't sue them if I drowned. And then they took my foto and gave me the secret code to the pool.

Like the other LA Fitness, you have to go all the way to the back, through the locker rooms, past the sauna, and then punch in the secret code and then you are poolside. At 10:30 which is a little later than I would do my swim but not an unreasonable time, the 3 lane pool had one swimmer in it. Nice, really nice. What a score. Free pool 15 mins from here. And there is another city pool another 15 mins from there as a backup in case.

It's right across the street from Trader Joe's. So freakin' handy.

The manicurist was just up about 5 blocks. It's in a flat area so I did not even bother to look for a close by parking place. I was 15 mins early so I just drove until I found one and then hiked back to the shop.

It's a little more chummy than I like with everyone all up in your bizness trying to score new bff's but... I do appreciate that they did NOT have unlimited nail colors to pick from. I have found that most places have about 200 different colors to pick from. WAY too many to make a non-frustrating choice. This place had maybe 30. Plenty. The woman who did my nails, Anna, did a fabulous job. Great manicure and great nail paint job. And it was the same price as my now second favorite place. I went ahead and made an appointment for next time.

Oh and, for the first time, I add the appointment to my calendar totally by voice. Google got the time wrong initially and I even corrected it via voice command. I was walking down the street to my car and the sun was kind of making it hard to see the screen so it was a perfect time to try it and it worked spectacularly. Love that.

I hit game traffic coming home but really not until a block from home. I just turned off my engine and zenned it until It was my turn to turn into my street/garage. No big deal.

I am giving serious thought to doing my swim at that new pool tomorrow.

A guy on Google+ happened up on a float plane this afternoon and made the greatest shot of my neighborhood! This photo clearly shows both stadiums. And where downtown is compared to my house and the waterfront. That ribbon of highway that sprouts off to the left and goes between town and the docks by the ferris wheel is the viaduct and is going away.

The stadium nearest my house is the stadium for football/soccer. The one to the right of that is the stadium where the Mariners lose (like they did today, yesterday and the day before... aurgh...)

This is just a great, great shot. The photographer is Jason Gallo. The link will take you to all 9 of his photos of my city.

Edit, Jason uploaded more shots and one clearly shows my building - see that little red square??!! That's me!
