So, of course, I woke up a million times last night. No big deal really, but I sure didn't need an alarm. I got to the pool in plenty of time to do my swim and get home before 8. But, Misfit says I cheated my swim a little. I usually do something between 1.2 and 1.4 miles according to my new tracking method. The down side of the method is that I don't see the actual mileage until I'm out of the pool and can sync my phone. But, now I know for sure that the number I do see (points) needs to be at least 350 to meet my mark.

I was home by 7:30 so able to enjoy coffee and a muffin. Now it's just wait and cross your fingers time.

The baseball game starts at 10 this morning. I'm not sure I even want to see it. Last night they lost in the 13th inning by walking in the winning run. Lamest of lame. And, what's worse is that tomorrow we go to Boston and they are having a spectacular year. They always beat us in Boston even when they are having a sucky year. So we may be looking at the beginning of the end for the Mariners this year...

My latest fabric order is coming in today. I need more shirts. Also I ordered one of Amazon's $39 Fire tablets and a frame to hang it on the wall. It's going over my sewing machine for podcasts and baseball watching although the latter may be iffy because the wifi is not great back there. But, by hanging it on the wall, I will get back some sewing table real estate.

I love my tablets and after spending several weeks with my Kindle, I've decided that I like the Kindle app way better. So my 7" tablet is now my Kindle. I keep the 9" on the dining room table mostly for dinner reading. I have a 13" tablet with a keyboard that lives in the bedroom. So, yeah, I might not need another one but for $39, I decided to bite. Plus, you can easily add all the Google stuff to the current Fire versions, apparently, and I'm looking forward to trying that. It will be here today.

I think I'll go move the rug out of the kitchen so the installer guys will have an easier time of it.

So the two guys who showed up with the latest oven this morning, we're just ok. Not great like yesterday's guys. They were in a hurry and bitching about how many installations they had after this one.

The oven takes 4 screws. They got 3 in and then couldn't do the 4th one. They called Jeremy. They swore it wouldn't fall down and asked if I wanted them to leave it while Jeremy gets in touch with GE for a fix. I said fine.

SO! The good news is I have a new oven and it's shiny and new and really very cool.

The bad news - in addition to the above - is that, in their haste, they snapped on the top frame so that it is crooked. And I didn't notice until they were gone. Also - sawdust in the butter dish? Guys. Really. No.

I sent a note to Jeremy and told him when he sent someone out to fix the screw issue, they needed to also fix the frame. I didn't mention the butter issue. Jeremy's had a bad enough week.

But, really, shiny, pretty, totally updated Advantium oven. Nice. Very nice. Time for the game.

I really only woke up about 15 minutes earlier than usual but it sure seems like this day has had some extra hours in it which I have used quite wisely so cool.

The oven saga took a bad turn when I discovered that the piece they put on incorrectly kept the door from shutting enough to make the oven work. I removed the piece and got it to work but ohhhh not happy. And in doing that I saw where they have bowed the cabinet it is attached to. Again not happy. I've sent several notes to Jeremy with photos and heard nothing. This last bit makes me unhappiest of all. I just sent him a not requesting he pop me a quick 'I'm on it' note. If he doesn't, he'll be getting a call in the morning. Or maybe a visit.

Meanwhile. The Mariners won. Thankgoodness.

The Amazon tablet arrived and it exceeds my expectations. I think the one I have here is a 3rd generation. The $39 one is a 5th generation and they have done a whole lotta work for the way better in those two generations. I might still try to install Google on it but not right away. I think it's going to do all I need without it. I found all the apps I want in the Amazon app store and got them all loaded, signed in and set up so that may well be all I need. For $39. Wow.

My fabric arrived and I hopped on it and cut out a shirt and then remembered I needed to have washed it first. Crap. Hopefully it won't be fatal. The other four lengths of different stuff are in the wash right now. I'll sew up the shirt I cut out tomorrow and at least get to wear it once before I wash it and see if it's doomed.

I got one doll made...
