This morning when I left for the gym, there were about 300+ people camped out in a line around the football stadium and most had clearly been there all night. When I came home about an hour and a half later, the crowd had quadrupled. Turns out that tomorrow single tickets for the Seahawks go on sale.

The press release says: "Fans will be permitted to start lining up for tickets at 3 p.m. Sunday, when they will receive wristbands to secure their places in line. Wristbands will be distributed from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. after fans produce valid identification. Overnight camping is prohibited."

So then I went to Twitter where there was a fair amount of bitching about 1. the rules being broken and 2. neither the Seahawks nor the Century Link Field folks doing any enforcement. It's way too sunny and hot out for me to have the blinds open so I'm just guessing that the crowd's getting bigger and will continue to grow until at least 3.

The Mariner game (in Toronto) is underway. The baseball Hall of Fame induction of this year's new members is going on this weekend. Ken Griffey, Jr. started and ended with the Mariners and is their fist player to go into the Hall of Fame. So it's a BFD around here but also because Griffey was just such a fun player and is still a great guy. Nice.

I just read that Verizon is buying Yahoo tomorrow. No one is being specific about what parts of Yahoo. My only concern really is Flickr. I'd just as soon Flickr not be owned by Verizon BUT I'd much rather it be owned by Verizon and allowed to continue than shut down. Since Google fucked up their photo offering, I don't really have a plan b for my pictures.

I'll probably make some dolls after the game is over and then do some knitting. Last evening, I watched a really nice little movie "The Fundamentals of Caring".

When stuff is delivered here, it is all taken to one spot in the garage. At the end of the day, the building manager goes through all the packages and sorts them according to unit number, locks them in a closet and sends out an email letting you know you have a package in the closet.

BUT, I much prefer to get my mitts on my stuff as soon as it arrives. If you wait, you have to unlock the closet and dig through everyone else's shit. So, I have USPS set up to send me a text when they deliver, ditto with UPS and FedEx. OnTrac and Amazon, I have to manually track but I do and as soon as something comes in for me, I go down to the garage and get it.

If I'm in no hurry and really don't care, my package always arrives early in the morning when it's kind of annoying to stop what I'm doing and go downstairs. But if I really really want whatever it is, it is the last fucking delivery of the day and delivered by either Amazon or OnTrac.

Usually Amazon delivers pretty early in the day. Always before lunch. Until today. Today I have some lights coming that I really really want and it's almost 4 and no sign or anyone or any lights. Sigh. Out for Delivery. Refresh refresh refresh.

Oh well. Also the baseball game was not good and we did not win. Oh well. The ticket crowd outside is still a really long line but now it's a stand up line and so, I suspect, they'll be gone shortly. Fried chicken for dinner with baked beans. I forgot lunch so dinner is going to be on Early Bird Special time.

I did get dolls finished and a few more cut out.
