The pool was crowded this morning. I get there when the doors open so I can be assured of a lane in the pool. Most weekends this is not really necessary. But this morning it sure was. I was first in the water but 5 minutes later all lanes were full. Wild.

After my swim, I found a sales person and took my membership issue to him. He was all over it. He found me in their system - all three of me. The Silver Sneakers me, the Silver & Fit me and the pay-real-money me (which, happily, only had to be for a couple of months). He just reactivated the original account - the Silver Sneakers account and all was good. I now have a record of all accounts with tag numbers and online creds in my Last Pass vault. Ready. Do not try to get rid of me, LA Fitness, it won't work and it will waster your time and tech.

I've killed a big part of this morning cooking and then eating breakfast and then with my Windows PC, getting stuff organized and operating like I want it to. Three of my audio book holds came available from the library yesterday. Feast or famine! They will come due before I can listen to them all so I downloaded the MP3's into iTunes for safe keeping. My iTunes is disconnected from the internet so the books won't expire. At least iTunes is good for something. The kitchen needs a clean up. And then I think I'll sew.

I just spent an hour getting stuff caught up and fixed. The kind of stuff that really only retired people have the time to do. I share a document with my brother that includes the gritty details, logins, passwords, bank accounts, license numbers, insurance info - just a laundry list of stuff you need to know sometimes. I created it for him (my Dad created one for me that was invaluable after he died) but I use it often when I need to remember a number or something.

Today I made some change - updated/tweaked, etc. It's now all up to date again. I tried to log into my social security to change the bank they use for my deposits and I fucked up the login - not once, but 3 times so they slammed the door in my face with a note that says come back and try again in 24 hours. I did get into IBM and changed that deposit. I do social security in 24 hours. I know now where I went wrong.

I also spent some time in Mint, getting the year so far squeaked. Mint does a fine job of categorizing most things nicely. It assumes - correctly - that when I shop at Safeway or Grocery Outlet that I'm buying groceries. And gets most all other categories correct but Amazon just baffles it. So I have go manually assign those purchases and the ones I make with cash. No biggie. I've now got everything since Jan 1 with the correct category and will keep it up.

It's really chilly in here today. Probably outside, too, but I'm not going to test that. I have leftover pizza and leftover Mongolian beef for dinner. I'll decide when it gets closer but I feel like I'm in a no lose eating situation.

But now it's time to watch CBS Sunday Morning and finish off my latest bear.

I am really over this cut out shoulder style of shirt/blouse/top/dress.

When I stop at my favorite tire place for them to check the air in my tires, they charge me nothing. I always give them $5. They always try not to take it and I tell them to use it for donuts in the coffee room. Yesterday, it occurred to me that if they charged me $5 for checking my air, I'd think that was an outrage and I'd likely never go there again and use the gas station air thing and get my hands all dirty and hurt my back.

Ditto with buying software/apps. If I find a very cool free piece of software, I'm very likely to 'donate' $5 or $10. I rarely even download an app that costs $4 or more because it costs too much.

I got no reason for any of that.

I swear I had a third thing but it has now left the building...

Reheating pizza slices - perfection in the air fryer. It only does one slice at a time but it takes about 4 minutes. I know this because I did the second slice for 5 and it got a leeeeetle too crispy. But, easy peasy and yum.
