I pulled out of the garage this morning to roads wet with rain BUT snow and sleet falling from the sky. It was kind of cool. Snow in headlights. When I left the gym garage, there was snow all over all the cars and grass but none on the roads. Here downtown, closer to sea level, there is only rain now. Twitter says the roads are slick but I'm good. I've got nowhere I need to go.

Odometer watch 19969.

I use a chromebook for my every day computing. It was on that chromebook last week that I set up and downloaded a torrent version of the second episode of The Good Fight. It is both a dicey and an unethical thing to do. I knew it and yet I couldn't resist. It turned out to be really good and so I decided to just buy CBS All Access for the other 8 episodes. But, meanwhile, as I suspected it would, it hosed up my chromebook. Stuff was loading slowly and sometimes not at all. But, Chromebooks have this wonderful feature called powerwash. It's like reinstalling windows from scratch only it takes less than 5 minutes from start to finish. I powerwashed last night and this morning, it's so perky. It's like getting a reward for bad behaviour. I'll be starting my trial week of CBS All Access probably this week.

Also this week is Sew Expo. I'll be driving down to Puyallup on Thursday morning. It's not that far and an easy day trip but I'm going to spend the night at a hotel. My plan is to do the show on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning and then come home. Which reminds me, I need to call the hotel and verify that I'm not going to be charged for 2 nights. I called six weeks ago to cancel Friday night but the cancellation is not showing up online. Just called. All's cool.

Wednesday is housecleaner day. Today and Tuesday are still wide open. Twitter says today's baseball game is at 11 instead of 12. No prob. I can work with that.

Just over the hill, less than a half mile as the crow flies, a tanker truck fell over on the interstate highway that cuts through downtown Seattle about mid morning. It was filled with propane and leaking. They closed off some lanes and traffic started backing up. Then they closed all lanes both ways and some of another interstate that intersects nearby and holy fuck what a mess. We're in hour #5 now and the tanker is still there and no one else is. Twitter and Instagram are full of photos of totally empty highways in the middle of town. There was a taco truck stuck in the middle of the mayhem and they just opened up and started selling lunch right there in the middle of the freeway.

I no longer watch local evening news. I will be Tivoing all the local channels tonight. This is not a slow news day here in Seattle.

Nor is it a warm day. The thermometer here next to my chair says it's 63 degrees in this room and 43 degrees outside. I have a little desktop heater that I rarely use. I turned it on about 10 minutes ago and in short order a cat hopped up here and situated herself between me and the heater.

But we did get some dolls done.
