After a rather lengthy consultation with Dr. Internet, I am pretty darned sure my ear issue is Swimmer's Ear. If it was some kind of infection, I'm pretty sure it would be way worse today and it's not. Plus, thinking back now, I realize it's been coming on for a while but I just didn't realize it.

The main cure is to stop swimming. Nope. Not there yet, if ever. There are over the counter fixes that I'm going to try first and more than one place suggested a hair dryer blast (on cool) into the ear after swimming. This I can do easily.

And, yesterday, I finally remembered Tylenol. That helped tremendously. I'll pop into the drug store after my swim (and ear hair drying) this morning.

The baseball game is at 10 so plenty of day available after.

This knitting pattern I am testing is making me crazy. It's war and so far the pattern is totally winning. The reason (or rather my reason) for testing a pattern, besides helping someone out, is getting the pattern free and first. In this case, after these battles, I will never ever ever want to make this again or even see the pattern. I hate it. But, I promised. So.. the battle continues.

Meanwhile on the ear front things are way better. It feels a little clogged but no pain at all. I haven't even needed Tylenol today. I did the hair dryer trick after my swim - cool air right into the ear. And then I got some ear drying drops at the drug store and used those. I'm going to repeat this for a few days and assume it will fix it all up.

Interestingly, at the drug store, there were three swimmer's ear drops. All three had exactly the same ingredients and were exactly the same size. One was $6.95, one was $5.60 and one was $4.95. Weird.

Except for potty/food breaks I am not moving from this chair until this pattern is under control.

I turned the air conditioner off. It's a little too warm in here but I'm going to leave it off til the soccer crowd (game at 7) gets too loud. The quiet is so nice.

During the baseball game today, they were touting 2018 season tickets. I went to the site they mentioned and there was nothing about Diamond Club tickets. So I sent an email to my Diamond Club liaison asking for Diamond Club details. I got an automated response that she is not longer with the Mariners. WHEW! I was not looking forward to having to deal with her some more. I'm hoping the new person will be way nicer, easier and better to deal with. Supposedly, your Diamond Club liaison is to keep in contact with you to make sure are happy and willing to spend those big bucks every year. So I'm more than a little surprised no one contacted me to let me know she was gone and/or who my replacement is.

I finally have a handle on this stupid hat knitting pattern. And I'm pretty sure my arm and hands are going to be sore tomorrow. Some people talk about their fitness trackers racking up 'steps' when they knit. Sadly, mine seems to know the difference between actually moving and sitting on my ass knitting.
