Summer Sundays
Mar. 21st, 2021 09:28 amAnd so it begins. From now until October. Back to the routine. After a slow start, treadmill, internetting breakfast, there will be CBS Sunday morning. Then chores and then the baseball game. Then the news and 60 Minutes.
I generally fast forward through some of CBS Sunday Morning (Jim Gafagan makes my spine curl) and most of 60 Minutes and if The Announcer That I Hate is doing the Mariner broadcast, I might just watch it on mute and either listen to the radio version or just listen to my book.
But the structure of the day is there and set until the playoffs and that's a nice Sunday comfort.
Today will include going through the part of the closet that holds my every day clothes. We need an inventory/purge/refolding. Yesterday, when I was looking for my sweatshirt, I saw a couple of things in there that just really need to go to Goodwill. And I suspect there is a lot more than a couple.
BUT I also saw a wool poncho that will be perfect for the Mariner game. I can wear it in over other stuff and then use it to sit on. The seats are really hard on even my amply padded ass. (My regular season ticket seat is thickly padded. I'm so spoiled.) So I'll hold it out of the Goodwill bag until Summer.
I've been slack for a year about Goodwill donations. Time to fix that.
But, first. I need to brush my sausage and egg teeth and take a shower.
