Thursday

Yesterday I ended up going exactly nowhere. I did not even open up my front door. Today I need to go somewhere. I'm pretty sure it will be going out to pick up lunch somewhere. Probably it will be a sandwich at the bagel place which is so handily across the street from Krispy Kreme.

The Mariners have a day off today so I do not have to watch them lose again. They have had a spectacularly bad week or so of games. Bad even for the Mariners. It's nice to get a break.

I got all the laundry done yesterday. This always sounds like such an achievement to me but doing laundry for one person who rarely even sweats works hard to rise to the level of chore. I don't even separate lights and darks and since everything is knit, there is no ironing needed. So... NBD at all really. Except the dirty clothes hamper is empty.

Biggie is stressed this morning for some reason he won't tell me. He's acting like he would like a chomp of flesh but so far has yet to take one. He's not been out on his perch this morning. Wonder if he's got job issues.

I just killed an hour on Amazon unsuccessfully looking for a product that apparently exists only in my mind. Clearly it's time to get a shower and get dressed and get outta here.

Success

So rather than a bagel sandwich, come lunchtime, I thought I'd try my mongolian beef place one more time. It's the place that makes the best mongolian beef ever except they also make it so spicy hot that I can't eat it. I've asked them to tone it down in the past and not been successful so this was the last time. Really. PLEASE VERY MILD SPICE.

And it worked!! It was spicy but not too bad and delicious. And plenty enough for two meals.

My eyes have been itching for days. Their hasn't been an influx of allergens and I'm not allergic anyway. Just really itchy eyes. Turns out I have an eye doctor's appointment coming up in a week and a half. He'll just tell me it's allergies but at least I'll be able to find out for sure it's not Fatal Eye Itch Disease.

I poked around today at alternatives to TiVo/cable. Really the only one that does unlimited recording and live tv that I can find is YouTube TV. And it's gotten so expensive that I would not be saving a thing. When TiVo dies, then that's probably where I'll go but I'll stick with the cable til then.




This will be a sweater. A summer pullover. Which I'll likely never wear but I'm enjoying working with these great colors. The yarn is cotton and nice going through my fingers as I crochet. A nice, satisfying project.

Biggie finally calmed down - after trying, halfheartedly - at a bite, he went and took a nap and is only now - 5 pm coming out for a snack. And has no interest in another chomp. It's so weird how I can tell when he is going to try and bite me but I cannot describe why or how. And I can't figure out what to do about it if anything.

He's resting here on the couch thinking about it.
