Twice this week, I've had to shave 5 mins off my treadmill time because of foot pain. I have one foot that, after walking a bit, develops a sudden sharp pain that then goes away and may or may not come back. It's so sharp ad so painful that it makes me think I might fall off the damn thing. I have one pair of shoes that it rarely happens with but they rub the toe on my other foot until it gets sore. Damned if I do/damned... etc.

So. Maybe time for a change in shoes. I've tried 2 shoes that I have in house and both of them result in that sharp pain. But they leave my toe alone. I could actually live with the pain because it goes away instantly but I really am afraid of falling off the treadmill.

I just killed an hour looking for old people shoes - wide toe box with massive arch support. Yes, I could go to a store but no thanks. If I order from Amazon, I can actually try them out on my own treadmill and if pain/then return. If that all fails, then store.

The other decision is Costco. Since I shaved time off the treadmill, I need to make it up elsewhere. So Costco. I need gas anyway and that's the easiest. And I can ask about my prescription. But, mostly I can walk around a flat surface in controlled weather. I'm pretty sure they still have senior hour from 9-10 but that would mean lots of parking near the front door and fast service. I need to walk the parking lot and stand and wait. So... Although I'm dressed and ready, I'm going to wait a bit and go during regular people hours.

The other big thing on the agenda today is Leo Laporte's interview with Andy Weir about Project Hail Mary. Instead of the normal No Spoiler book tour interview, he's doing the first 30 minutes that way and then the second 30 minutes for people who have already read the book. "I have questions!" says Leo. I can't wait to hear his questions and Weir's answers. It's at 3 on Twit.

I have that delicious Mongolian beef left over for lunch and there's a baseball game on tonight. Busy day!

There are two main customer counter people at the pharmacy at my Costco. Both are really spectacular. And they are the reason I keep my drugs there. Today I got the guy. I needed a new inhaler and I wanted to find out when my other drugs would be ready for pickup. Their system is complicated and made worse by my insurance and made even double worse because I ordered refills too soon. So it was a massive knot to untie and he was truly flummoxed, So I told him not to worry. I'd go shop and come back to pick up the inhaler and I'd deal with the insurance company about the other stuff. He looked incredibly grateful.

So off I went. The store was packed. But, I didn't care. I weaved in and out of the aisles looking at this and looking at that and getting in my steps and just enjoying myself. When I finished the food half, I thought I'd go back and check on his progress and do the non-food half if the inhaler wasn't ready.

When I got back to him, he waved me up to the counter, when into the pharmacist and came out with the inhaler and my other three prescriptions!! I told him he was my favorite drug pusher ever.

I got a chicken, mushroom and pasta thing that was on sale and when the guy at the front door checked my receipt he saw it and said it was his favorite dinner and he was having it tonight! ha!!

I had parked over by the gas pumps which was at the end of the parking lot so I did good step wise. I did not, however, get gas because one of my rules is no gas until at least half a tank and I was one bar away from half empty. So .. next time.

Now I am home, drugs for 90 days, lunch 5 mins in the microwave away... life is good. Oh wait, Biggie just came running through the living room at top speed. Something must be up. He just went flying off the chair. Whatever it is must be For Cats Only because he's not revealing a clue.
