THE day!

It's hot. It sucks. I hate hot. End Of Rant.

My treadmill sits on a rubber pad next to the bed. Biggie spent the night on the small strip of pad next to the treadmill. Odd, but, ok. This morning he popped up early to check on Robby and then went outside for Tree Duty. He's been in and out but mostly out up there for the past two hours. Not napping. On full alert. It is garbage collection day... I don't know. I guess I'll have to wait for his report.

Today's my first baseball game. (That aborted effort a month or so ago does not count.) The gates open at 5:10. I'll be there then. There's dinner and then batting practice before the game. I need to starve today and work up a good hungry. Here's the details on the buffet spread.

Between now and then, I have house chores. Laundry. I need to sort out bedding - where to store and what to Goodwill. And I need to tidy up the sewing room which has turned into kind of a catch all lately.

Oh and figure out which Mariner shirt to wear to the game!

Purging still

I can't hear Audible well on the treadmill. The Libby app is fine but Audible is a struggle so I thought I'd dig out one of my little bluetooth speakers over in the drawer under the TV.

Turns out that most of those little speakers in that drawer are not bluetooth at all. And the one that was no longer works. And it was just embarrassing how many there were. Plus all that other junk. So... I emptied the drawer.

A bag full o' stuff for Goodwill. A bag full o' stuff for trash.

One decent speaker for my laptop (when it needs a volume boost). So, I can move the little bluetooth speaker I used to use for that to the treadmill! Win!

I found a small stack of 3.5" floppy disks and even one 5.25" floppy disk and my slide rule from high school.

It was like the clown car of drawers.

I cleaned up the sewing room and washed all the dirty clothes.

I have some stuff in the bedroom closets that will either go to Goodwill or will be used in the terrace reorg* but I kind of love that there is room in those closets to house that stuff temporarily without cramming or crowding. (*When my brother comes in July, we are going to reorganize the terrace with different/less/more organized storage.)

I remembered to go down to the car to get my vaccine card for getting into the game tonight. I read that they will accept a picture of it on the phone but why not flash the real thing.

For the last time (or maybe second to last time). I got an email this morning that was followed up with an announcement on Twitter and elsewhere that they are going to open the ballpark fully on June 30. No vaccine needed. Masks not required (but recommended for those not vaccinated). And so it ends or begins depending on your half full view.

Biggie has been outside all damn day. Sometimes napping sometimes watching. He finally came in for a bit this morning and I was able to give him his pill but he went right back out and that's where he is now. I am so glad I thought to move that damn tree outside.

Everything is tidy and put away and I love that. Everything is ready for the ballgame so I think I'll just do some knitting while I wait for time to head out.
