Taking to the sea
Jul. 13th, 2021 09:09 amWe are waiting for an Amazon delivery that will, hopefully, be here tomorrow, before we can finish up the deck situation. Meanwhile there is stuff out there waiting to go on the shelves that is really getting in Biggie's way. We watched him, this morning almost get a bird but mainly he's just looking at the stuff that is impeding his access and shaking his kitty head.
Today we are going to Vashon Island for lunch. I have not been to Vashon in about 30 years. Should be a fun adventure. We're also going to make another Goodwill run. We crammed the car last night and dropped it off and I figure we have 2, maybe 3 more runs.
One of my bedroom closets has been a temporary storage area until I could get the terrace reorged. This morning I pulled everything out of there and I now have very easy access to everything left. Whew. Huge. Space.
Most of the stuff I was going to put on the shelves, is instead going into the trash or to Goodwill. I'm over having stuff.
I got an extra tax bill yesterday from the city because I own and live in property near the water and they want to make that area better for tourists. I get to pay $3000.00 for that privilege. It's not clear to me if this is a one time thing or not (probably not but the reality has yet to be determined). I do think that getting the actual bill in the same week as news that my property is now worth less than last year is cruel. Fortunately, I can pay it and do not have any energy for fighting it but I'm sure I'm not in the majority.
I think I'll take a load of trash down to the dumpster before we head out...
