It's all about the cat
Jul. 25th, 2021 08:41 amMy Echo's are not taking to the new wake word. I've tried to change them all to use Ziggy instead of Alexa. Only one of them complied. And then I learned the rest were just protecting me from myself.
When I got home from my errands yesterday, Biggie was missing. Not in his usual nap spot. Not on the terrace. Not anywhere else. So I started calling to him. Yep. Amazon makes not distinction between Biggie and Ziggy. Ha!
Finally, I got the treat cup and started rattling it. I wanted to make sure Biggie had not jumped off the terrace. Alexa did not respond to the treat rattle but Biggie sure came out from where ever in a hurry. I later discovered his new spot. Behind the shoes on my closet floor.
This morning, he's out on the terrace as usual. On duty. So far, no bird bodies in the Killing Field.
Last night's baseball was yet another LOOOOOOOOng game and I fell asleep with a tie in the 8th. I woke up when the Mariners won. So this morning, while I was treadilling, I watched the 8th and 9th inning to see how they did it. Basically, they just took advantage of A's sloppy pitching. The bases were loaded and then a wild pitch got passed the catcher and bingo. Boy, those A's were pissed. They think they are such hot shots and here the Mariners have now taken them for two games in a row. Ha!
In 2003, I wrote a journal entry about a made up word - festuche. Turns out the word still lives but with only a tiny fan base. If you Google it, chances of finding this journal are pretty high. Some who find it leave comments. I love that I've gotten two this year some 18 years after I wrote the entry!
Today will be a quiet one. I have the ballgame. Robby has finished sucking up all the carpet dirt. Since there is not laundry robot, I'll just do that myself.
