Legs unstretched
Jul. 30th, 2021 10:18 amAnother 90 degree day is on tap. It's not yet 10 am and already 70 degrees out there. 96 on my terrace (in the sun). I'm not going anywhere.
Plus I need to stay here to bird catch. When Biggie finally dropped this morning's offering and I leaned in with my bag to scoop up the prey, the prey flew across the room! Arugh.
I feel like I often bemoan stock market losses here in this journal. Today, I'd like to wallow in, however temporary, a lovely gain. Thanks, stock market. I know your love isn't real but I feel it nonetheless.
GeekWire is a tech business publication that is located here in Seattle. They've come a long way since it was two guys with a blog. They cover dry stuff mostly but sometimes do extraordinarily cool/fun things. Like their rush hour races. They hadn't done one in a while and this time added to the vehicle mix so that contestants used cars, bikes, scooters, ferries, busses and more to race from the center of downtown to a difficult (because the bridge is closed) to reach suburb. The story of the race is really fun. I love Seattle.
The Mariners are out of town now for a week and a half - playing in Texas and New York and Florida which means no more late night baseball for me!!! yahooo. From the players' point of view, being stuck up here in the corner of the country on the way to nowhere is a real minus but from a TV game watcher view, it's heaven. The trades continue but the Mariners' are quiet so far. Game at 5 today.
I might do some laundry today or not. No plans except to stay cool, baby.
