Last year, [livejournal.com profile] ljtourist gave me a Bonne Maman Advent calendar... a box of tiny jars of 24 different jellies and jams. I loved it the day I got it and many, many days since. Today I reached into my Bonne Maman basket and picked up a new one and now there are only 4 jars left.

I like only a little sweet on my toast. One little jar can last me 3 or 4 breakfasts. This morning's was Mandarin Spread - a good one. But, then, they are all great. I only had one that I did not like on toast. It turned out to make an amazing peanut butter and jelly sandwich, tho.

I just noticed a feather - small, gray - on the living room floor. It was not there yesterday. I'm not giving this any more thought.

Today is a baseball day. So I had a late breakfast and that will be it until I tuck into tonight's fabulous buffet. I need to save myself. Also I need to buck myself up. Last night's game was a killer. They should have won. They had plenty of chances to win. They passed up on all those chances. I am pissed but also, as [livejournal.com profile] kensmind so kindly put it, heartbroken. These guys have a chance to make the playoffs. You know they want to. They have to want to and yet, they keep shooting themselves in the foot. Maybe my being their tonight will be just the thing they need to get right again.

I need to charge up the scooter and pick out a shirt. I think I have one good one left that I haven't worn yet this year. It's also one good for very hot weather which tonight will be. I have a ticket to Saturday night's game as well so I need to do some wardrobe planning.

But, it's only 10 and I won't leave here until 4:45 so I've got some time... time to pick up and dispose of that feather.

Last January, I started a temperature scarf, abandoned that and thought about a temperature blanket but I didn't like my colors or my ideas. And then someone on Instagram helped me figure out the color situation and I did some math and now I think I have it!

Under Biggie's watchful eye, of course.

Each square is a day. What you see here is through February 3rd with the 4th in progress.

The outer color of each square is the high temperature for the day and then inner color is the low. I think it's going to work out fine.
