Cassie Stuart, lead detective on Unforgiven, has these great flannel shirts with a trapease back that are tunic length. I'm afraid I'm going to have to make me one maybe. I have the flannel. I can't find an exact pattern so I think I'll just tweak one I already have.

But I'll probably wait until it gets cooler and I start wearing my long sleeved shirts. I have too many summer shirts. I hardly wore some of them at all this year. I might have the same issue wit long sleeved versions. So I'll likely just wait and see.

My recliner seems stuck in limbo or rather Portland. I hope it's not yet another FedEx cockup. I have seen some twitter chatter about their recent failings in the Seattle area. I don't want to be part of that plus I want the damn recliner!

I'm thinking about a trip to Whole Foods this morning. I need more of their orange juice and I want some Diamond kosher salt. Everyone else carries Morton and I want Diamond. Weekends seem the best time to avoid the downtown traffic and tomorrow is a home Seahawks game which means getting my car out of the garage is on a emergencies only basis. So today's the day if I'm going at all.

It's supposed to be a rainy windy day. So far it's a misty, breezy one but it's early yet. Even if the wind does kick up, there are not enough dead leaves on The Tree That I Hate to clear it out much. But soon, I hope.

Next up, baking wise, is probably crispy oatmeal cookies. But, probably not today.

It's still early but I think I'll get out and get going and get back before the crowds gather to get in my way!

It is so cold outside that I had to close the door! I could have put on more clothes but I went with door closing for now. The first time this year. I do love how we go from 'too hot to put the a/c away to too cold to have the door open' in a two week span! I need to remember that next year when the end of August weather gets depressing.

I got Diamond salt and OJ at Whole Foods and then, because my route home was blocked by a cruise ship disembarking all over the road, I learned a new way home. Nice.

I realized that it was about the time Goodwill opens for business so it wouldn't be too crowded even on a Saturday and popped into there to replace the vase that Biggie knocked off and shattered yesterday and to get some more storage bins for flour and sugar and stuff.

When I got home I got everything put away and all the stuff into the new bins and even made labels for it all on my label maker. I was trying not to start a new baking project and managed that successfully.

Oh! I just got notice that a hold I've been wanting to read is ready for me to check out at the library. The timing is perfect for once. I have 45 minutes left on my current book and I need a great one next. I'm thinking the new Denise Mina will fill the bill nicely.

The baseball game is at 4 today. I have a potato baking now and plant to warm/crisp up some of that fried okra to go with it. YUM.
