But, Fedex says now it is in Kent which is just across the lake so it's at least heading in the right way. I'm guessing it will be here tomorrow. My butt is so ready.

Yesterday's Seahawks game ended in an overtime loss which dampened the drunks a bit but, also... just as the hoards were pouring out the sky opened and dumped an amazing amount of rain for maybe 15 minutes. So my evening was not full of hollering SEA..... HAWKS!!! all night which was lovely. I haven't looked outside yet to see what a mess they made. It's a while now until the next home game so relief!

Not a lot on my plate now that putting together the recliner is off the table for today. I do think there will be some cookies made. I do so love having fresh cookies exactly like I want them at the ready any time. I might get back to cakes but not until I've had my cookie fill. The unsalted butter is currently moving to room temperature.

And I'll walk across the parking lot again. And watch some TV. And crochet. And watch a baseball game tonight. It's nice to have a plan.

Right now the plan is to shower. Which reminds me that it was just this time last year when I got my new shower. They ripped out my bathtub and replaced it with a magical walk in shower. In One Day! There has not been one single time in the past year when I stepped into it and did not stop to thank myself. I think I'll go do that now.

The stock market is wallowing again today so I'm poor. Or poor me. It is, though, more depressing when my account totals go down than exciting when they go up. Somehow when they go up, I think, yeah but it's not real. When they go down, I think eeek did I take all the bags to Goodwill or do I have enough left for my bag lady life?

But, while I still have a home and a kitchen and baking supplies... I made these oatmeal crisps. They were dirt simple to make and really only marginally satisfying. They don't taste bad but they aren't great either.

I somehow got a cut on the bottom of my foot. It's small. Like a paper cut. And, like a paper cut, it's driving me nuts! I acquired it after my walk across the parking lot so at least I got that in before. I now have it lathered up with healing cream and a sock on it so hopefully it will be fixed by tomorrow.

In late breaking news, we have moderate interest in Cat Bed Number Four. Note the proximity of the feather toy.
