Ass wishes and dreams
Sep. 30th, 2021 09:06 amMy butt is very ready for its new chair. This cheap number from Amazon is actually great for a spare, middle of the room, guest, relax chair. But it's not high enough for me to get in and out of comfortably. And the manual recline thing is also difficult and my ass is dreaming of its new home. 4 days, dear butt... 4 days.
Meanwhile, the Mariners. Won again. It's pretty funny to hear non Mariner fans talk about the team. Notice the team. Discuss the team. My nephew in Iowa - a die hard Red Sox fan says it's like the world just remembered there's this other major league team. For the past decade or so everyone has focused on teams who haven't been to the playoffs in a while or to the world series in xxx years. Never once mentioning the Mariners who have never even come close to a World Series. But, now, we are being mentioned. It's fun.
There is still a way better than even chance we will not make any playoffs. Even if we win all of our last three games (which is not even likely). But, most of the players who have done the best recently will for sure be on the team next year.
Twitter is twitting about how the stadium wasn't full this past week and needs to fill up for the weekend. Well, hey, they had their chance. All the other sports in town require vaccines to enter. My tweets on this have had likes and a "your[sic] and idiot".
I never did make those breakfast burritos yesterday. I need to get on that today. The kitchen needs some reorg as well. It's getting cluttered.
No plans to go anywhere today but the weather is fine so I will do the parking lot walk or a walk around the block or, hey, maybe I'll just get nuts and do both!
I have lots of crochet and knitting projects going right now. I have ones that need full concentration and ones I can do with my eyes closed and ones in between. My bountiful yarn stash is paying dividends.
But, first I need a shower.
