Next Phase of Recovery?
Oct. 29th, 2021 09:37 amBiggie came to bed with me last night for head scratches while I listened to my book but when it was time to turn out the lights and go to sleep, he split. He spent the night in his bubble bed on the couch. Also, sometime in the night, he got up and used the litter box and ate some old food in his bowl.
This morning, he came in to the bedroom while I was on the treadmill and started discussing breakfast. I dished out a half a can of regular Fancy Feast. He gobbled it down and cried for more so I gave him the rest of the can which he did not finish but sure ate a lot of. I think we are for sure over the hump of moving from dry kibble to wet food.
I also think we're over the need for much cuddling. He does not hop out of my lap immediately when I put him in it but he no longer insists on getting into my chair whenever I do. I miss cuddly Biggie.
The two beds I ordered from Amazon are both going back. He loves the bubble bed so I finally just fixed it. It never held together the way it was supposed to (faulty snaps) so I just sewed it together. I don't mind how it looks, works on the floor or the couch, enables him to watch the birds and me and nap all at the same time. So it stays instead.
He's getting a visitor this afternoon.
ljtourist is coming over to see him and give head scratches. Frank has always been his special friend and I wanted him to see the difference in Biggie's looks like he's getting here just in time.
Yesterday I gave myself a hair cut and then a few hours later decided it was a stupid hair cut so I got out the clippers and now it's a WhoTheHellCares cut. It's so bad, it almost looks intentional. Which is fine.
I have been getting this every-other-month box of crochet stuff from England this year. It's a beautiful package of yarn and crochet toys but it's pretty expensive and I keep thinking I should cancel it. Then yesterday, I found out that they are canceling after December's box. Problem solved.
And my Capital One/GPay problem is also fixed and tested. And my Google Pixel Pass problem is now fixed and tested. Lot o' shit gettin' done here.
Now I think I'll get into the shower and get dressed and run these things up to the Amazon return hub and then stop and get some gas on the way home.
