Home Alone
Nov. 1st, 2021 10:14 amBiggie is at the vet's for his bandage change and checkup. I feel like I say this every time but it's so weird and so true - how different this house feels when he's not here.
He was not at all delighted when I corralled him into what
richaarde calls his Biggie Baggie. I got to the vet just as they opened and ran into not one, but two less than helpful front desk people. Mostly all their staff is fab but I sure hit two cranks this morning.
We sat and waited in the lobby. Normally, after a wait, they put us into an exam room and a tech comes in to have me sign 'yes, i will pay for whatever' papers and asks me questions and then takes him away. But, today, after we'd been there less than 5 minutes, Dr. Moore, herself came out to the lobby to get Biggie. "Everyone else was busy so I thought I'd just come get him so you didn't have to wait." I've taken to writing her a short update note every week so I handed him and the note over and we were on our way. I really do like her so much and am so grateful that we have her.
Now I'm home. Biggie-less.
Today's todos include:
1. Move drugs from Costco to Humana Pharmacy. I'm going to be, hopefully, moving my one expensive drug to Humana at the end of the year to save oodles o' cash so I figure I'll just move the rest and save even more. Three of my drugs are generic and cheap but Costco charges me $100 a year for them total. Humana Pharmacy charges me $0 a year for them. They can be a PIA to deal with but I like the savings.
2. Vacuum. I'll have robby do the whole house. Biggie's ok with robby these days but I figure why stress him out when I can do it while he's gone.
3. Laundry. I'd love to get into the habit of doing laundry when I get a load full rather than waiting until I'm out of clean clothes and have to do bunch of loads at a time.
I finished watching The One - an 8 episode series - on Netflix. It was very different and very good. I went to sleep last night noodling my way through the complicated plot. It was way better than I expected.
