Better

I just opened up Biggie's 'kimono' and peeked. The whole incision area is looking way better this morning. The mound that was swollen yesterday (the reason for the hot compresses) is pretty much gone! We've been swapping between the hot rice sock and a heating pad and I think the work has paid off.

His onesie is a little short on him and so restricts his movements a little which is turning out to be a good thing. He's been a lot less adventurous since I put it on him. But he can still get to a lot of places to groom and get to his food dish and use his litter box so I'm thinking it's still better than the cone.

The only issue now is my lap. He's dedicated to it. Getting up to pee or get something to eat is a major kerfuffle. Actually maybe it's not my lap. Maybe it's the chair. When we're not in it, he's in it by himself!

Today he's going to get some alone time. I'm going to walk Costco and maybe pick up a ham.

I want about one thing from a general grocery, another thing from the Japanese grocery, one thing from Trader Joe's... But, if I go to any one of those places, I'll get more than the one thing plus none of them are near each other. So I think I'll just get steps and ham today. The rest can wait.

letmesaythis implied that Biggie was not resisting the hot compresses because I keep my house too damn cold. Well, really, he's wearing a fucking fur coat so how cold could he be???



Apparently cold enough to enjoy a nice warm pad. So this is what he did while I was at Costco. Also at his first lunch of the day and pooped nice bullet poops. Now I'm home and he's back in my lap.

Costco was packed. But I knew what I wanted and where it was and how many aisles I needed to check to get all my steps in. Then I scored a self check with no waiting and I was out the door. Easy peasy. Ham has got had.

Also I remembered to get gas. Go me.

I just got an email that someone was interested in changing my Amazon password. No clue who that is or why but, heck, cause I'm such a nice person, I went ahead and changed it for them. Go me.

Time to slice up some ham for a sandwich!

But, wait... there's more

When I sat down after coming home from Costco, I tossed the heating pad onto the shelf. But, apparently, forgot to turn it off.

When I got up to slice the ham and make a sandwich (which was delicious, btw), Biggie sat up in the chair to watch the birds.

Then I heard some Biggie rustling. He wasn't by the window. He wasn't at his food dish. He wasn't in the chair. And, then I found him.

2. I need to tidy up that shelf and those baskets - it's a mess over there!
